WOULD YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR DOG IN AN EMERGENCY?
This course will provide you with basic life saving skills to initially respond to an illness or injury until you can get the dog safely to a veterinary surgery. It is ideal for pet owners but also suitable for pet professionals.
The course is suitable for:
- PET OWNERS
- DOG WALKERS
- DOG GROOMERS
- KENNEL STAFF/HOME BOARDERS
The course lasts for approximately 2-3 hours, including a short refreshment/comfort break, there is a coffee machine on sight and cold drinks available.
During the course you will complete theory work and also some practical hands-on skills. You will be assessed throughout the course for understanding/participation but there is no 'test' at the end.
Once the course has been completed, you will receive a certificate of attendance as evidence of your learning.

- How to examine a dog correctly and safely
- Scene assessment – keeping yourself safe whilst helping the dog
- Keeping you and your pet safe
- Minor Injuries
- How to control bleeding
- Heat Stroke
- Road Traffic Accidents AND MUCH MORE!
The course is presented by a qualified and registered vet nurse
